The Muzungu’s high causes to journey to Tanzania, the ‘soul of Africa’

Serena Inn, Stone Town, Zanzibar. Diary of a Muzungu, Swahili
Because of this I journey… to take a seat at a desk overlooking the seaside on the Serena Inn, Stone City, Zanzibar. Need a glass of mimosa? “You simply need to ask.” Contemporary frangipani flowers, custard apple juice, mimosa glowing wine cocktail and ‘madafu’ coconut juice adorn the Diary of a Muzungu, Swahili-style!

It’s taken me a very long time to go to Tanzania. There’s a lot that’s familiarly East African, but so many charming delights which might be uniquely Tanzanian!

1. Tanzania has 14 Nationwide Parks, 370 mammal species and over 1000 birds.

2. Overdose on wildlife viewing at Ngorongoro Crater. Expertise the Nice Migration on the Serengeti, one of many ‘Seven Pure Wonders of Africa’ – watch it from a scorching air balloon!

3. Tanzania is the bottom for mountaineering Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain

4. Chill out on Tanzania’s Indian Ocean coast. Go diving!

5. Fly or take the ferry to the island archipelago of Zanzibar, well-known for the islands’ white coral sand seashores

6. Tour the historic cobbled streets and Arab-influenced Stone City, Zanzibar, celebrated for its movie and music festivals. No journey to Zanzibar is full with out a spice tour!

7. Tanzania has seven UNESCO World Heritage Websites together with the Serengeti, Selous Nationwide Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Stone City.

8. Take pleasure in uncommon contemporary juices – similar to coconut ‘madafu’ and custard apple

9. Discover the Selous, Africa’s BIGGEST sport reserve!

10. Discover Dar es Salaam, East Africa’s second largest port and a melting pot of African, Arabic and Indian influences.

“Jambo” – is the Swahili greeting for “welcome” which you’ll hear in every single place in pleasant Tanzania.

When you’re going to the Serengeti, deal with your self to a scorching air balloon safari! It’s an enormous journey from begin to end. Rise up on the first light to look at the balloon being inflated and soar within the basket, prepared for the off. Watch the solar rise as your balloon strikes silently throughout the savannah, following the wildlife beneath. It’s wonderful what you possibly can see up there! A champagne and breakfast within the bush are only one a part of this fabulous expertise.

Considered one of Tanzania’s hottest points of interest is the Ngorongoro Crater, often called “Africa’s Backyard of Eden,” dwelling to 30,000 animals together with the uncommon black rhino and black-maned male lions.
