Job description
Responsibilities of event managerÂ
- Plan and execute a diverse range of events, serving as platforms for entrepreneurs, innovators, and community members to connect and learn.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partners, ensuring clear communication of CIC’s Events program philosophy and guidelines.
- Manage the Events team’s budget, develop program objectives, and engage in ROI analysis and community feedback mechanisms.
- Lead and mentor the Event Coordinator, providing feedback, training, and ensuring workload balance.
- Oversee all facets of event execution, including logistics, coordination with building management, policy compliance, and marketing promotion.
- Enhance event spaces and AV equipment, coordinate staffing, setup, and breakdown, ensuring smooth event operations.
- Support marketing initiatives by maintaining relationships with key organizations, identifying opportunities, and tracking outcomes.
Requirements for the event manager job
- Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating corporate events, with a preference for experience in community organizing or building.
- Proficiency in event promotion, marketing, data collection, and collaborative relationship management.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and attend community events.
- Understanding of Rotterdam and community engagement preferred.
- Legal eligibility to work in the Netherlands; visa sponsorship not available.
- Fluency in English; communicative Dutch is a plus.
